Myth  # 1: RCT is painful

The RCT is carried out mainly to relieve the tooth pain caused due to damage or infection of tooth pulp. The pain that patient experiences during this process is mainly due to the infection that is already present in the affected area. The whole procedure is carried out under  local anaesthesia and with advanced medical equipment to minimize pain and provide a comfortable experience.

Myth #  2: RCT involves many dental appointments

The RCT can be completed in  two or three dental appointments and does not require many  visits.

Myth  # 3: RCT causes illness

Some people believe that the RCT increases exposure to the disease-causing bacteria that leads to illnesses, which is not true. The fact is that bad oral hygiene and poor dental care after RCT leads to dental problems and  not the RCT itself.

Myth  # 4: Tooth extraction is better than RCT

Tooth extraction  will create a permanent gap between teeth which can lead to crooked or misaligned teeth in the surrounding area. Saving the natural tooth by RCT is always preferred   to extraction of tooth.
